3 Flag-Themed Desserts That Will Steal the Show at Your Picnic

Memorial Day is coming up and is really one of the first holidays of the year that people tend to gather outside for cookouts, pool parties and picnics. I love dessert in general but I love it even more when it is on theme for the occasion. That’s why I’ve pulled together 3 recipes for flag-themed desserts that range from easy to easiest in both the skill and time they will take. So no matter the time you have, you can roll up to your gathering bearing a delicious dessert everyone is sure to enjoy!

Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Flag Dip

This is my favorite go to flag-themed dessert dip when I don’t want to heat up the oven! I love the added cuteness of the M&Ms to make the flag but also enjoy serving the dip in a bowl by itself for all other occasions. My only tweak to Mom On Timeout’s recipe is to switch out the heath toffee bits to crushed butterfinger. I also like serving it with pretzels to get that sweet and salty taste. Find the full recipe here.

Red, White & Blue Poke Cake

I love a good poke cake. They are easy to make and make a refreshing, warm weather dessert since they are chilled before serving. This one uses Jell-O in the cake to get the red and blue and then cool whipped toppings. Check it out over at Shaken Together Life.

Easy Flag Fruit Dessert

For those who want to contribute to the cookout but are short on time or simply want a healthier option, try this fruit and white chocolate or yogurt covered pretzel platter combo. You can see more of Family Fresh Meals ideas here
